Our in-office teeth whitening procedure is performed in a single, one-hour visit by our trained staff. If you are on a tight timeline for a big event or want to see the fastest results, in-office whitening is an excellent choice
Dr. Phan also offers a take-home whitening kit that you may use in the comfort of your own home. The kit consists of whitening gel, which you place inside your custom-fitted trays. Wear them for 30 minutes daily over a 10-14 day period until you have achieved your desired shade.
Occasional touch-ups, along with daily home care and routine cleanings at our Los Gatos dental office, will maintain your bright smile and keep your teeth healthy for years to come.
Is Teeth Whitening Safe?
Research and clinical studies show that teeth whitening performed under a dentist’s supervision is safe. We do not recommend teeth whitening for children under 13 years of age or pregnant or nursing women.
Some patients may experience a slight tingling or sensitively a few days after treatment, which is nothing to worry about and will subside. Please be aware that teeth whitening cannot change the shade of existing crowns, veneers, or fillings. Dr. Phan recommends a dental cleaning with our hygienist before any teeth whitening to help you achieve the brightest, most consistent results.
