Simple extraction: &nbsp;If the tooth can still be seen in the mouth above the gum line, we can perform a simple extraction in which Dr. Phan loosens the tooth and then lifts it out with forceps.
Surgical extraction: If the tooth has broken off below the gum line or never erupted, such as in the case of an impacted wisdom tooth, a surgical extraction is necessary. Dr. Phan must make an incision to remove the tooth, which is why the procedure is considered surgical in nature.

Front Office/Registered Dental Assistant

Amy began working in a dental office as a senior in high school. She has over 21 years of dental experience in working in the front office and in the back assisting the doctor. She enjoys meeting and talking with people but most of all, she really loves making sure patients have a great dental experience.

Amy has been happily married for 13 years and has two wonderful boys. When she's not on mom duty, she enjoys baking, glass etching, going to amusement parks and doing jigsaw puzzles. Besides her family, she loves all things involving Pirates, Halloween and most of all DISNEY! Amy will always be a big kid at heart.
